AMD has acquired the team behind FastFlowLM, an open-source LLM inference project focused on AMD Ryzen AI NPUs. FastFlowLM provides an ollama-style developer experience for running large language and multimodal models on AMD AI PCs and workstations running Windows. The team, originally founded by academic researchers, will join AMD's AI Group to focus on client and workstation AI software and day-zero enablement of new models. The project remains open-source under an MIT license on GitHub, aligning with AMD's broader open-source AI ecosystem including ROCm, Lemonade, and GAIA.
