GitGuardian has launched a Power for Amazon Kiro, AWS's agentic IDE. Once installed, the Power enables Kiro's agent to scan for exposed secrets across files, git history, staged changes, Docker images, and PyPI packages using ggshield. It also supports remediation workflows — replacing hardcoded credentials with environment variables or secrets manager references — and honeytoken generation to detect unauthorized access. The integration is part of GitGuardian's broader agent-skills ecosystem supporting Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code with Copilot, and 50+ other agents. Context: AI coding assistants are linked to roughly double the baseline rate of credential exposure, with 28.6 million new secrets exposed on public GitHub in 2025.
